Duties

Paraprofessionals must have effective oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to make positive contributions in a team atmosphere.  S/he must establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.  Interested candidates will assist teachers in providing a positive, safe, and academically challenging learning environment for students.  Paraprofessionals assist teachers/supervisors in all areas, which may include assistance with specific components of an IEP (relating directly to children assigned) and monitoring safety conditions for students.  S/he will contribute to the home/school communication process under the direction and supervision of the teacher.

Qualifications

Pawnee Grade School is currently hiring paraprofessionals for the 2022-23 school year.  Applicants must have the ability to get an Illinois approved paraprofessional license.  Interested applicants must also be able to pass a fingerprint background check.  In addition, paraprofessionals will maintain CPI certification, provided by the district upon hire.

Salary/Benefits

$15.69 per hour
