Duties
This position serves students in grades 5-8 in a self-contained setting. Self-contained content areas will include math, English/language arts, and life/social skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other teachers and related service providers is required. Excellent direct instruction and social-emotional skill development are required. Additionally, the position will manage a case load and develop IEPs for students.
Qualifications
Professional Educator License with endorsement in Special Education, Bachelor of Science degree
Salary/Benefits
Salary based on beginning of 2022-2023 salary schedule: $42,000 (bachelor degree with no experience). Benefits include prior TRS years of experience awarded on salary schedule, paid TRS, single paid health insurance, sick leave days, personal leave days, tuition reimbursement program possible when working towards advanced degree. For new/novice teachers, a formal mentoring program is provided.
