Duties
The Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning provides leadership and oversight for key
instructional, personnel, and compliance functions across the district. This role supports the
Superintendent and Board of Education by coordinating curriculum and instruction initiatives,
supervising district-level staffing processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal
mandates, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The
position plays a critical role in advancing high-quality teaching, learning, and student support
systems district-wide.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Professional Educator License with a general administrative endorsement as
required by the Illinois State Board of Education and/or school district. Superintendent
endorsement or master’s degree in curriculum and instruction preferred.
1. Four or more years of experience in school or district administration.
2. Professional image, actions, communications, and working relationships are required
at all times.
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong computer skills.
4. Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with those
contacted in the course of work (students, parents, and staff).
5. Develop and maintain solid relationships with students in order to support them
socially, emotionally, academically, and physically.
6. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Salary/Benefits
Salary Range: Minimum starting base salary $105,000, commensurate with education and
experience
