The Payroll/Bookkeeper will work with and assist the CSBO to help maintain a smoothly run and efficient District Office.  This position will also require the prompt and accurate submission of payroll and submission of several reports throughout the year.   

  • Secretarial/General Office Duties:

    • Typing of word documents, data processing and spreadsheets
    • Filing, phone communication and handling of mail correspondence
    • Filling in for other office staff when they are absent or unavailable 

    Payroll duties:

    • Utilizing District accounting program (Infinite Visions) to set up master payroll for all employees
    • Responsible for TRS and IMRF monthly and annual reporting
    • Enroll and manage employees’ medical, FSA, and life insurance
    • Enroll and manage employee’s investments
    • Complete and mail Illinois Unemployment Report
    • Assist Business Manager on budget, tax levy, and resolutions
    • Have knowledge of monthly revenue and expenditure statements
    • Enter and submit state reports on IWAS
    • Balance Imprest Fund
    • Making deposit at local bank weekly and enter receipts into Infinite Visions



  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in Payroll
  • Knowledge of Computer Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and discretion in performing duties
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality


  • Experience with Infinite Visions accounting software
  • Experience in schools

 Physical Requirements:
