Duties
Prairie Hill School District #133 in South Beloit, IL is seeking a full-time Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Prairie Hill School District Teachers are driven by our district’s mission statement of ‘Students First, Always’. PHSD #133 Teachers should have a positive demeanor and the ability to work both independently and closely with the administration, teachers and students. They will perform their responsibilities so that a safe learning environment is provided for all students. PHSD #133 Teachers will also take pride in their work, building and district duties. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Actively support the mission of the school and district, "Students First, Always."
- Create and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Provide opportunities for all students to experience success, based upon their individual ability and potential
- Plan and implement lessons in accordance with the Illinois Standards
- Assess and monitor student progress through standards-referenced instruction and grading
- Participate in school improvement initiatives
- Inform parents of academic and behavioral progress, concerns, and long-range expectations
Qualified applicants must possess a PEL and certifications where necessary. Pay will be based on experience and education on the certified salary schedule.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a valid Illinois teaching certificate. (K-9)
