Duties
- Utilize a variety of instructional, behavior or remedial techniques to meet individual needs of students.
- Perform the appropriate screenings, assessments, and observations of communicative, academic, social, behavioral, motor, and independent living abilities of students.
- Assume responsibility as case manager for each student on caseload by providing and completing necessary information for IEP/EDC meetings; coordinating and monitoring related services; implementing individualized objectives to attain goals; monitoring student progress and providing progress reports.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management by establishing and maintaining appropriate student behavior conducive to a productive classroom and/or therapy environment.
Qualifications
Professional Educator License, LBS1 Certification or ability to secure a short-term emergency Professional Educator License.
Salary/Benefits
Salary: based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Benefits: health insurance plan options are offered of which the district pays a portion; cash option if no insurance is taken; district pays portion of TRS
