Duties

Teach Secondary Business courses to develop College and Career Readiness Skills in High School Students. Specific course assignments would include Consumer Education, Entrepreneurship in Publications and Yearbook Production, School-to-Work Program, and various online dual credit classes in Business, Marketing, and Accounting.

Qualifications

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with business endorsement as required by the Illinois State Board of Education.
  • Or willingness to obtain endorsement
  • Or bachelors degree in a related field with willingness to obtain licensure.
  • Masters in business preferred in order to teach dual credit classes 
  • Technology Integration / one-to-one environment; 
  • Small Group Instruction, Data Analysis, positive Classroom Management;
  • Prior teaching experience is a plus

Salary/Benefits

  • Salary Range w/board paid TRS: $43,010.99 - $70,439.55 based on experience and education
  • Benefits : Board Paid $25,000 Life Insurance and Board Paid $550 towards Individual Health Insurance.  Board will pay an additional $100 for employees that choose  Employee+Spouse or Employee+Child and an additional $200 for employees that choose  Employee + Family.
