Qualifications
Candidates must hold a General Administrative Illinois Professional Educator License, and a Director of Special Education PEL is preferred. In addition, candidates must also hold one of the following:
- Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBSI PK-22 or K-22)
- Teacher of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired (BPS PK-22 or K-22)
- Teacher of Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH PK-22 or K-22)
- Speech Language Pathologist (SLP PK-22 or K-22)
- Early Childhood Special Education (ECS3 B-3)
- School Support Personnel (School Social Worker, School Nurse, School Counselor, School
Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist Non-Teaching. Other requirement: Five or more years of experience in the Special Education field.
Salary/Benefits
Starting Salary is $72,000-commensurate with experience; board-paid individual health and Life insurance plus retirement; 200-day contract.
