Duties
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Common Core State Standards, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management; plan and execute lessons aligned to Common Core State Standards within the kindergarten curriculum; provide differentiated learning experiences for the range of skill levels and developmental needs of the students; adapt lessons for students with IEPs or Section 504 plans, as appropriate; participate in special education staffings with colleagues and parents; administer progress monitoring, benchmarking, and common assessments; discipline students in a fair and consistent manner, aligned to school district approved policies and procedures; maintain regular communication with parents; complete all records and reports as required by law and as requested by the school administration in a timely manner; attend staff meetings, professional development, and serve on staff committees, as appropriate; and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicant must have a current Illinois Elementary Teaching License and be familiar with Common Core State Standards.
