Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate the with Directors of the Department of Teaching and Learning the writing, administration, and monitoring of changes to Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, 1003(a), TBE/TPI and LIPLEPS) Grants under the leadership of the Assistant Superintendent.
  2. Collaborate with principals, staff and other supervisors to ensure that instructional programs and services are administered uniformly, equitably and effectively at all schools.
  3. Coordinate all Title Grants, ESSA, and ISBE External Assurance Compliance at all schools and execute all external reporting related to Grants, including budgeting, reports, and amendments.
  4. Collaborate with staff and administration throughout the district to lead, coordinate, develop, and monitor Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives.
  5. Coordinate the workflow of the specialists in the Department of Teaching and Learning under the leadership of the Assistant Superintendent.
  6. Assist Directors with coordinating Professional Development experiences for all staff and informational events for parents within the Department of Teaching & Learning.
  7. Facilitate the coordination of district inservice days and district level Professional Development.

 

  1. Oversee and coordinate Summer University for Staff, National Board Certification, New Educator Orientation, and Induction Mentoring Programming.
  2. Maintain and approve professional development paperwork and provide necessary information to ISBE and ROE regarding district PD activities/PDHs and admin academy.
  3. Other duties as assigned by Assistant Superintendent.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Illinois Administrative License
  2. Illinois Teaching Certificate – Type 03, 09 or 10
  3. Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
  4. Evidence of at least five (5) years of successful teaching experience.
  5. Proven leadership skills to facilitate the work of teachers and work collaboratively with other administrators.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
  7. Ability to create and use spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets
  8. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  9. Ability to speak and write effectively in English using proper grammar and vocabulary
  10. Knowledge of the State IWAS and SIS systems and the Grant Application Process and appropriations of funds to meet the needs of students

11.  Ability to facilitate diverse groups of adults and children.

Salary/Benefits

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month (260 day) position - Salary/benefits determined by the Board of Education. Performance evaluated annually in accordance with the District Administrative Performance Evaluation Process

PURPOSE OF JOB:     

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, provide leadership and support for the coordination, submittal, and monitoring of all District Title Grants; support and coordinate Professional Development; and lead the district in the area Social Emotional Learning.
