Responsibilities include:

  • Instructing severe emotional and behavioral disordered children.
  • Developing appropriate, measurable IEP goals for students ages 5 to age 22 with emotional and learning disabilities and other health impairments.
  • Providing written reports of student progress at annual review.
  • Maintaining required paperwork including but not limited to, student data and classroom correspondence.
  • Consulting with therapists to plan for student needs and modifications.
  • Understanding classroom management theories and methods; with strategies for individual behavior management, de-escalation, crisis prevention, intervention, and the balance between classroom management and teaching strategies.
  • Participating in student, staff, and professional meetings including behavior management plans, functional analysis of behavior, eligibility, placement, IEP and annual reviews


Experience working with emotionally disordered students preferred. LBSI license required.


$45,000.00 – $49,000.00 per year
