About Us
Henry-Senachwine High School is a dynamic and supportive learning community dedicated to student achievement and staff excellence. We are seeking a highly organized, personable, and detail-oriented High School Secretary to join our front office team.

Position Summary
The High School Secretary serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, resourceful, and committed to supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students, staff, parents, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and route phone calls, respond to emails, and maintain front office communication channels
  • Manage student attendance records, tardy/early dismissal processes, and daily reports
  • Support administrators by scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining calendars
  • Assist with student enrollment, registration, and recordkeeping
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with school policies
  • Coordinate office supplies and equipment; submit work orders as needed
  • Provide support during school events and activities as needed
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training preferred
  • Previous office or administrative experience (school setting a plus)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, TeacherEase (not required, but is a plus) and common office equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
