Teaching Position Opening – Morrisonville Jr./Sr. High School
2026–2027 School Year
Morrisonville Community Unit School District #1 is seeking a full-time 7–12 teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Morrisonville is a small, student-centered district located just 30 minutes South from Springfield and 30 minutes north of Litchfield. Our school is known for its supportive atmosphere, dedicated faculty, and strong team-first culture—truly a great place to teach and grow professionally.
The previous teacher oversaw courses including Consumer Education, Information Processing, Computer Concepts I & II, 7th and 8th Grade Computer Applications, and Accounting. As we look toward the future, Morrisonville is committed to modernizing and expanding this program, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to help shape curriculum, integrate new technologies, and build an innovative pathway for students.
Position Details:
• Full-time teaching position
• Grades 7–12
• Course load may include business, technology, and computer-related classes
• Opportunity to redesign and modernize program offerings

Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Desire to collaborate, innovate, and contribute to a positive school culture

Salary/Benefits
• Salary will be according to the Morrisonville CUSD #1 board-approved contract

The teaching candidate, once hired, will have significant input in determining new course offerings, and funding will be available to support the development and purchase of new curriculum.
