Duties

Provide two sections of math intervention for each grade level (6th, 7th, and 8th)

Analyze STAR assessment data and other performance metrics to identify students in need of support and track academic progress

Design and implement differentiated, evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to student needs

Collaborate with math teachers to ensure intervention instruction aligns with classroom curriculum and standards

Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and participate in data team and RTI/MTSS meetings

Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and instructional plans

Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student confidence and engagement in math

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

Valid teaching certification (Math or Special Education endorsement preferred)

Experience teaching or providing intervention support in math at the middle school level

Proficiency with data analysis tools such as STAR Assessments or similar progress-monitoring platforms

Strong knowledge of middle school math standards and intervention best practices

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within an RTI/MTSS framework

Training in math intervention programs (e.g., Math Recovery, Do the Math, IXL, or similar)

Background in using data to drive instruction and monitor growth

Rochelle Middle School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Interventionist to join our team. This position is instrumental in supporting student success in mathematics across grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will provide targeted small-group instruction, utilize assessment data to guide intervention, and collaborate closely with classroom teachers to reinforce and support the core math curriculum.
