Duties
A high school English teacher at Midwest Central High School is responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards, focusing on literature, writing, grammar, and critical thinking skills. The teacher will create a positive learning environment, assess student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, and provide constructive feedback to support student growth. Additional responsibilities include fostering a classroom culture that encourages participation and collaboration, maintaining clear communication with parents and guardians, and collaborating with fellow faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary learning. The teacher may also be expected to sponsor extracurricular activities, participate in professional development, and contribute to the overall school community through committees and events.
Qualifications
Proper Professional Educator License for HS English
