Duties
? Teach age-appropriate SEL lessons across all grade levels K-8, covering topics
like self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and
responsible decision-making.
? Foster positive connections with students through small group activities and
classroom lessons to promote a sense of belonging and safety.
? Partner with school counselors, administrators, and specialists to provide
comprehensive support to students with complex needs.
? Coordinate, present, and facilitate social/emotional learning in Tier I Instruction.
? Provide small group guidance (Tier II) to help students cope effectively with
personal, behavioral, social, emotional, academic, and family concerns.
? Assist teachers and staff in implementing universal social/emotional learning.
? Facilitate Erin’s Law Program.
? Assist teachers and students with implementation of universal screening for
social/emotional needs.
Salary/Benefits
? A valid Illinois Professional Educator license or equivalent preferred in School
Counseling, School Social Worker or related field.
? Two years of teaching experience preferred
? Strong understanding of social-emotional development and evidence-based SEL
practices
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with
students, teachers, and parents.
? Ability to design and implement engaging SEL Lessons and activities
? Experience in facilitating group discussions and building positive classroom
climates
