PGS Principal Job Description
All duties associated with a grade school administrative position. Princeville Grade School serves students from Bright Futures through 5th grade.
Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all students, staff and parents • Ability to work well in a community with high expectations for its students and schools. • A sound working knowledge of the School Improvement and RtI process. • Promote the District’s objectives and provide in-service programs for teachers and staff. • Relates to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective discipline policy • Excellent data driven decision-making skills • Understands the needs and requirements of special education, bilingual and migrant students • Administers a balanced budget and manages the school facility effectively • Ability to produce an effective school climate.
Salary/Benefits
The work year for this position is 12 months. The salary for this position is regionally competitive and will be based on education and professional experiences.
Additional Notes
Building Principal experience is highly preferred. Administrative experience is preferred. Successful classroom teaching experience is required. Candidates must have proper Illinois Professional Educator Licensure to hold this position, or have the licensure by July 1, 2025. This position will remain posted until filled.
