Duties

  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
  • Install and maintain district security camera system.
  • Install and maintain district Wi-Fi system.
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, virtual servers, and dedicated servers.
  • Maintain classroom desktop computers, security updates and patches.
  • Provide technical support for users of computer systems District-wide; respond to requests for technological assistance from District, department and site personnel; work with departments, sites and divisions to assure optimum acquisition, installation, maintenance, utilization, repair and security of available technology.
  • Provide support/training for On-Site Technology Managers and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Information Technology Services. 

Qualifications

  • Experience with installation and management servers, desktops, notebooks, and tablets, including installation, configuration, and management of Microsoft Windows.
  • Experience with the installation and management of network related hardware and software.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration and management of Interactive TVs, projectors, SmartBoards and document cameras.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and management of security camera systems and related hardware.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and management of audio systems including building intercoms and individual room sound systems.
  • Experience with installation, configuration and management of enterprise class Wi-Fi systems.
  • Any combination equivalent to:  graduation from high school supplemented by college level coursework in computers and five years experience in the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer work stations, servers, peripherals and related equipment.
  • Advanced training and certification in Information Technology is desirable.
  • Such other alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
