Duties

Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Communications. This role will serve as the key liaison between the school district and stakeholders within the educational community. The Director of Communications will oversee all aspects of communication, both internally and externally, ensuring that the District’s Strategic Plan, programs, and initiatives are effectively shared with various stakeholders. This is an opportunity to shape the narrative and foster meaningful connections within Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public relations, mass communications, or related field.  Additional qualifications include:

  • Professional experience in a public relations role.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external public relations strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven track record in planning, executing, and evaluating communication programs.
  • Ability to manage budgets and personnel effectively.
  • Familiarity with two-way communication principles.
  • National School Public Relations Association or Public Relations Society of American accreditation is a plus.
  • Adherence to the ethical standards of the public relations profession.

Salary/Benefits

Commensurate with experience.
