Duties
Reports to: Building Principal and Classroom Teacher
The ASPIRE Alternative Safe Schools Paraprofessional shall be directly responsible to the building principal, but work with the classroom Techer to facilitate successful learning experience for children.
- Work under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Work directly with students.
- Reinforce teacher instruction.
- Work with small groups in the classroom.
- Assist with student assessment.
- Perform other duties as signed by the classroom teacher and/or building principal, which the employee is qualified to perform.
Qualifications
The Safe Schools Paraprofessional must be license through the ISBE. Experience with children is required. In addition, this person shall possess the personal characteristics and ability to work closely and cooperatively with district staff.
All qualifications are considered essential to fulfill the requirements for the position of Safe Schools Paraprofessional.
Salary/Benefits
As assigned by the MESPA Guidelines (starting at $18.02 / Hour)
