Duties

  • Registers new students, making sure forms are completed, obtaining transcripts and other documentation as needed, and entering data into computer system regarding enrollment and student records (e.g., transportation, free and reduced lunch program, attendance, withdrawals, lockers).
  • Manages student attendance
  • Manages student fees and sends Fee Statements to parents
  • Assists Photographer for picture days, yearbook organization and distribution
  • Assists Athletic Director with athletic eligibility, rosters, etc
  • Assists school administration with discipline and grading reports
  • Maintains school signage and announcements, including, but not limited to,  indoor/outdoor digital signage, school social media, website, ParentSquare
  • Assists with 8th Grade Promotion - tickets, programs, certificates, awards, signage, practice organization, works with Josten’s for gown measurements, etc
  • Minor tech support troubleshooting - copiers, student chromebooks/logins
  • Responds to inquiries from students, parents and employees, providing information, facilitating communication among parties and/or providing direction.
  • Assists in maintaining documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
  • Assists in maintaining inventories of supplies and materials for the purpose of ensuring items' availability.
  • Assist visitors to the office, including students, parents, substitute teachers, and others.
  • Answers telephone calls, and provides information and assistance to callers.
  • Distribute incoming mail appropriately; sends outgoing mail.
  • Evaluates situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Performs first aid and cares for injured/ill students, taking full responsibility for student's welfare in the absence of the school nurse or administrator.  Dispenses medicine to students according to physician's orders.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school.

  • Ability to describe problems and work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations.
  • Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Google Suite, the Internet).
  • Ability to problem solve job-related issues.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Ability to process paperwork accurately according to standardized procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of office management procedures.
  • Handles emergencies concerning employees and/or students, making decisions independently or recommending action as appropriate.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality regarding all aspects of the school site operation.
  • Exercises diplomacy in answering questions and resolves situations involving students, parents, public, location staff and district personnel through knowledge of school policies and general district rules and regulations.
  • Ability to welcome students, families and visitors with kindness and patience
  • Knowledge of Skyward Student Management is a plus!

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Successful experience with office management preferred

Salary/Benefits

Starting pay is $16.02/hour, however, final salary is based on Board's recommendation at the time of hire.  This position is a 10 month position with hours approximately 7:30am-4:00pm.
