Duties

Assistant Principal- 2024-2025 School Year
 
Certification:  Current Illinois Professional Educator License and Administrator License
 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years teaching experience in primary grades and/or intermediate, upper grades
• Candidate must submit evidence that demonstrates instructional leadership ability as a current administrator or teacher
• Rating from the most recent summative evaluation must be Proficient or Excellent
• Knowledgeable in the Illinois Early Learning Standards and/or Common Core State Standards
• Knowledgeable regarding assessment data and the impact for adjustments with classroom instruction
• Excellent ability in managing school climate and proactive classroom environment
• PBIS experience preferable

• Excellent interpersonal skills – must be able to work effectively with professional and categorical staff
• Able to work with parents in a supportive, non-judgmental capacity 
• Knowledgeable about resources to assist parents
• Able to provide and receive feedback in a constructive manner
• Provide feedback to staff and parents that is useful, pertinent, and relevant
• Always maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic

Salary/Benefits

Salary

• Salary will be based on a 12 - month contract
• Salary and Benefits as determined by the Superintendent/Board of Education
