Share: Print: Duties Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs in the school environment. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living. Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and assist in modifying the environment to support student success. Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or 504 plans. Educate and train school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy needs. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports on students’ treatment plans and outcomes. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. State licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IEP and 504 plan development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Passion for support student’ success and advocating for their needs.
