Duties
- To assist the classroom teachers, achieve teaching objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve appropriate skill levels.
- Administers, scores, and records such achievement and/or diagnostic tests
- Working with individual students or small groups fo students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teachers or in consultation with the teachers.
- Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work in consultation with the teachers
- Serves as a source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Participates in in-service training programs as assigned
- Escorts children to and from rooms and playground
- Supervises loading and unloading of buses, lunchrooms and recess
- Assists with the necessary paperwork and maintains a daily log of students.
- Provides written documentation, when needed, of acute behavior problems experienced by referred students.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the administration regarding student supervision.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:School year position. Specific work schedule determined annually by the administration.
