Duties

Responsibilities:

  1.   Actively support the mission of the school and district.
  2.   Utilize conscious engagement regarding equity, diversity and inclusion.
  3.   Represent the Harlem Consolidated School District in a professional manner.

 

Duties:

  1. Acquire and use data from local and state assessments, as well as curriculum-based measures, in consultation with MTSS Facilitators to plan and implement effective intervention instruction to accelerate learning and mitigate learning gaps, particularly those caused by the effects of COVID. 
  2. Actively participate in MTSS meetings.
  3. Consult with the school principals, MTSS facilitator, and MTSS Team on a regular basis to develop a schedule to deliver services to identified students.
  4. Frequently collaborate with Professional Development Specialists on the development of appropriate instructional routines, ensuring the use of best practices with a focus on conceptual understanding.
  5. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 instructional interventions to students as determined by the MTSS Team.
  6. Use identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of the district’s core content standards.
  7. Establish clear objectives and prepare lesson plans for lessons, units, and projects while progress monitoring using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.
  8. Collect and maintain required data on individual student progress, and disseminate to principals, teachers, the MTSS team, and/or parents at regular intervals, as determined by the MTSS Team.
  9. Compile reports as needed.
  10. Understand the effects of COVID and ways to accelerate student learning to obtain proficiency with grade level material.
  11. Select and acquire resources for use in lessons maintaining fidelity with district curriculum.
  12. Participate in appropriate professional development and District workshops.
  13. Keep current with best practices and requirements as they relate to your job assignment.
  14. Perform such other job related duties and assume such other professional responsibilities as your supervisor may from time to time assign or delegate.

Qualifications

  1. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement
  2. Experience in teaching interventions (Preferred)
  3. Knowledge of various interventions and resources

Salary/Benefits

Annual Salary: $39,531 - $91,345

9 month contract for 2021-2022 school year
