Duties

Coordinate, lead and support educator professional growth by modeling effective teaching methods as appropriate.

Analyze and understand student assessment data and effectively use it to inform actions within the school.

Develop and foster community connections that will enhance the educational experience of all students.

Assist staff and parents in developing student behavioral expectations.

Assist in developing programs to promote positive students behavior as well as intervention strategies (PBIS).

Strong understanding of IDEA

Chairs or participates in IEP meetings

Ensure special education process and procedures are implemented and followed

Provide IEP guidance to staff and parents

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Special Education (preferred) or Education;Illinois PEL with LBSI preferred; 5-years’ experience in the area of special education required; Leadership experience and a General Administrative / Principal licensure required.
