We are looking for a candidate with a passion for teaching special education at our high school with a focus in instructional reading and writing.  If you know what it means to “need an IEP meeting with an LEA, SLP and OT to discuss a student’s FBA and BIP, and for a student with an SLD in reading,” then we may have the job for you!

Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School is located in the heart of central Illinois. Our enrollment for the 2021-2022 will be approximately 325 students. Our HighSchool is 1:1, with each student utilizing ChromeBooks and Google Classroom. We continue to incorporate research and strategies within our school that best fit the needs of today’s students. We are currently offering dual credit courses, classes utilizing the blended learning model and are continue to evaluate ways to incorporate the benefits of remote learning in the future. Professional development and collaboration are encouraged and supported within our school community. Our school has a positive relationship with our Board of Education and communities that we serve.
