ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. 

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support all aspects of district instructional and curriculum integration of technology.
  • Support the District goals pertaining to continuous improvement in the areas of student learning and assessment (both District and school plans).
  • Support the Director of Curriculum and Student Learning with the administration and analysis of all state and benchmark assessments within the district, including the creation of an annual district-wide assessment calendar.
  • Collaborate with the Early Childhood and  Elementary Student Learning and Assessment Coordinator to prepare reports and presentations on academic and social emotional data.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum committee to make recommendations pertaining to curriculum program and implementation of new instructional resources.
  •  Assist in providing direction for the development, revision, and continuous improvement of district instructional practices across the curriculum
  •  Coordinates with specialists (i.e. coaches, interventionists, teachers, administrators) on program and curriculum development.
  • Work as part of a team for the planning and preparation of all district instructional support.
  • Communicate positively and clearly with a wide variety of stakeholders. 
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents, or the Director of Curriculum and Student Learning



  • Preferred Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, with training in administration, curriculum development and instruction, and/or professional learning. Equivalent experience in educational leadership will be considered to meet this requirement. 


  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience 
  • Knowledge of and experience with best practices at the secondary level
  • Strong work ethic as a member of a team
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Proven experience as a collaborative leader and motivator who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple major projects at once

LICENSES/CREDENTIAL: Current Illinois Professional Educator License 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Ten-month calendar year with extended days, as needed.

EVALUATION:  Performance of this position shall be evaluated in accordance with the District Evaluation procedures by the Director of Curriculum and Student Learning.
