Duties
Job Description: The Transportation Supervisor shall coordinate all transportation services for Gavin D37 and coordinate all drivers/routes, and bus driver personnel matters.

- Driving bus in accordance with federal, state and School Board regulations
- Locating or assisting in locating substitute drivers.
- Prepares and updates computerized bus schedules for all students in the district.
- Assign students to stops and buses.
- Coordination of routes.
- Provide assistance to drivers in completing the reports required of a bus driver.
- Communicating the concerns and suggestions of the bus drivers to the school administrator.
- Assist in the evaluation of drivers.
- Acts as liaison with parents for complaints and special requests.
- Preparing reports, keeping all records required, mapping bus routes and planning schedules.
- Review and approve payroll time cards for each pay period.
- Maintain appropriate vehicle inventory and maintenance records.
- The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for filling in for drivers when absences and situations occur.
- Supervises assigned personnel.
- Attend transportation meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
- Support and enforce policies as established by the school district.
- Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as appropriate as assigned by the CSBO.

Qualifications
Qualifications: High School diploma required. Additional college level studies preferred.
Three (3) years’ experience in education or transportation
Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
