Teacher is responsible for:
-Planning a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
-Developing, implementing and assessing curriculum/instruction aligned with Common Core Standards.
-Demonstrating competency in subject matter, lesson preparation, instructional delivery, classroom management, and required record keeping.
-Using a variety of assessment data to monitor student growth while incorporating best educational practices and researched based intervention to enhance student achievement.
-Guiding the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with established clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the ability to communicate these objectives to students.
-Employing instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
-Assessing the performance of students on a regular basis and providing progress monitoring.
-Taking an active role in the RTI process and collaborate with fellow staff, parents, and administration to meet the needs of all students.
-Assist administration in the implementation of all policies and/or rules governing student conduct and will establish a classroom management plan that is aligned with the districts expectations providing a well maintained classroom with fair, firm, and consistent classroom management procedures that provide for learning opportunities that are appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
-Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for paraprofessionals and directly superve their performance in the classroom.
-Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required while striving to maintain and improve professional competence.


Candidate must be student-centered, high energy,fkexible, possess a strong work ethic, and be able to build positive relationships within our school community.  In addition the candidate should be passionate about teaching and learning; self-directed and self-motivated.  They should have a strong sense of responsibility and the capacity to accommodate the various learning needs and styles of students.  It is important to be well versed in elementary curriculum content areas, skills and concepts and capable of planning comprehensive lessons that demonstrate knowledge of differentiated instruction along with alignment to Commom Core Standards.  The candidate must have excellent writing and oral communication skills.  The candidate must demonstrate a classroom management plan that is aligned with district expectations and provides for a learning environment that is conducive for student growth and learning.

Candidate should hold current Professional Education License and be properly endorsed for the position.


Salary per salary schedule. Extracurricular opportunities may also be available.
