Teacher is responsible for:
-Developing, implementing and assessing curriculum and instruction aligned with Science Common Core Standards.
-Demonstrating competency in subject matter, lesson preparation, instructional delivery, classroom management, and required record keeping.
-Using a variety of assessment data to monitor student growth while incorporating best educational practices and researched based intervention to enhance student achievement.
-Assuming a leadership role on our cross-curricular Science Data Team and our School Improvement Team.


Candidate must be student-centered, well versed in science curriculum and differentiated instruction, possess a strong work ethic, and able to build positive relationships within our school community.  Candidate should be passionate about teaching and learning; self-directed and self-motivated.  Candidate should be capable of planning comprehensive lessons aligned to Common Core  State Standards that meet the learning needs of all students.  Candidate must be highly qualified as determined by the Illinois State Board of Education.  

Candidate should hold a current Professional Education License and be properly endorsed for the position.


Salary per salary schedule.  Extracurricular opportunities may also be available.
