Reporting to the Research & Evaluation Officer, is responsible for managing a variety of projects and deadlines related to the Center for Research & Evaluation; works collaboratively with staff in center and across agency centers to develop and manage a myriad of projects with deadlines.

  • Performs necessary tasks to accomplish assignments and responsibilities including, but not limited to: partnering with external stakeholders and vendors, developing new processes, building communication plans, developing simple tools via Excel or O365, scheduling weekly meetings, building cross-functional teams, taking notes, initiating and developing processes and procedures to improve center and departmental performance and productivity, etc.
  • Manages the data governance process within the agency.
  • Responsible for managing all contracts in the Assessment and Data Strategies & Analytics Departments, and some contracts in the Research Department.
  • Monitors associated work flows, queues, and project timelines within the center.
  • Manages the Data Share Request process.
  • Collaborates with the center leadership as well as other department staff to develop and implement efficient processes within the center.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification(s) required. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
  • One of the following degrees required: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science; or Bachelor's Degree in any field plus four years of experience as a project manager in the last eight years; or Associate's Degree in any field plus six years of experience as a project manager in the last eight years.
  • Two plus years of experience leading or managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing projects and delivering outcomes on time.
  • Experience with analyzing and developing performance metrics.
  • Strong team building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Skilled in mentoring project team members.
  • Skilled at keeping teams organized, informed, focused, and on task.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining teams with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, lead and manage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment.
  • Skilled in understanding and navigating complex processes.
  • Skilled in determining scope and clarifying ambiguity.
  • Skilled in long-term planning and scheduling.
  • Skilled in written and oral communications.
  • Skilled in analytical/critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Skilled in budgeting, time management and resource management.
  • Skilled in facilitating meetings with clear objectives and following-up with resulting action items.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Experience in education.
  • Ability to create and inspire cohesive and energetic project teams.
  • Ability to foster and facilitate creative thinking in a team environment.

Salary/Benefits
