Duties

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Serves as a subject-matter expert on recruitment
  2. Partners with hiring managers in the district to effectively address recruitment needs in a timely manner
  3. Monitors vacancies daily and provides input on trends and areas of need
  4. Oversees day-to-day activities related to applicant flow in the District’s Fast Track system
  5. Develops and conducts training for hiring managers on general recruitment
  6. Coordinates and participates fully in job fairs locally and regionally
  7. Compiles and updates informational recruiting materials for recruiting events
  8. Monitors hiring events organized by other organizations including colleges and universities
  9. Works collaboratively with hiring managers and the HR Department to ensure that job descriptions accurately reflect essential functions of each position
  10. Creates a recruiting outreach and interviewing plan for open positions
  11. Composes and posts employment advertisements to internal and external media outlets
  12. Uses social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates
  13. Screens application for employment and contacts applicants for follow up as may be warranted
  14. Evaluates candidate qualifications against position descriptions before forwarding them to hiring managers for further consideration
  15. Checks in periodically with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and activities
  16. Analyzes and recommends strategies to improve recruitment and selection process
  17. Generates recruitment statistics and activity reports as needed or required
  18. Performs other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in human resources
  3. Knowledge of Skyward applicant data system preferred
  4. Proficient use of personal computers and applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Google Doc, etc.)
  5. Valid Illinois Driver’s License

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within established times
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
