To provide a comprehensive professional development program to develop and transform school and district education initiatives.  The Professional Development Coordinator shall be responsible to provide professional development and curriculum improvement services in a variety of formats. The functions assigned to this position are designed to enhance instruction through the utilization of progressive, research-based professional development techniques and to serve as an aggressive resource to districts in the service area.


This position coordinates training opportunities for educators in 3 counties: Mason, Tazewell, and Woodford.  Training is typically held on-site at individual schools, ROE #53 in Pekin, or virtually.  


The candidate should have a valid professional educator license. It is preferred that the candidate have experience in planning professional development and also hold a master's degree in education. 


This position is full-time status and follows the ROE #53 calendar. A schedule of 180 work days is expected.
