Small Private Therapeutic Day School and Young Adult Transition Program on the North Shore is looking for a part-time speech and language therapist to work with students with learning and emotional disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and other health impairments, ages 10-21. The speech/language therapist will serve students in a traditional day school setting in the middle school, high school, Young Adult Transition Program. Responsibilities include assessment of student's speech developmental level, providing information for program development and skill building to instructional personnel, parents, and collaterals. This is a part-time permanent position based on the related service needs of enrolled students for speech and language direct and consultative services.

The position offers variety including consultative and direct services at the point of performance which can include the classroom. Current needs: 4-8 hrs/week. Position available for School Year 2020-2021 beginning in August 2020.


Speech/Language Pathologist licensure, experienced school therapist, skills in collaboration with multidisciplinary team, and comfort integrating self in the school environment. Qualified applicants must have the capacity to work effectively with young people ages 10-21, individually and in small groups; knowledge of assessment instruments and their application; and skills to apply assessment instruments, interpret test data, and communicate effectively. Patience and attention to detail are critical.
