Duties

The Coolidge Campus Assistant Principal shall be directly responsible to the Moline High School Principal. In general, the responsibilities of the High School Coolidge Campus Assistant Principal shall be to work closely with the Moline High School Principal in developing the goals and programs for the Coolidge Campus. All qualifications and duties are considered essential to fulfill the requirements for the position of High School Coolidge Campus Assistant Principal.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are as follows: Collaborate in the development of curriculum goals, curriculum revision and evaluation of the total program, as well as presentation of professional development activities with the high school administration; ensure consistent implementation of district and high school practices. Collaborate with the high school administration in planning for student needs in the area of Response to Intervention, transition services between campuses, summer school needs, and student scheduling. Collaborate with the high school administration in planning, preparing, and administering state and local standarized assessments. Organize and facilitate teacher data teams; monitor and maintain academic, attendance and behavior data in the data warehouse; use the data to drive decision making.  Facilitate distribution and use of instructional technology and other resources for 20th century skills and to enhance curriculum and learning. Ensure that all school activities are adequately planned and supervised. Develop short and long term facility project goals to enhance the Coolidge Campus learning environment. Ensure a safe and secure environment, review, reflect, and update procedures regularly.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educators License with an Administrative Endorsement and shall present evidence of successful teaching experience. It is preferred that this person have experience at the secondary level as a teacher, counselor, or administrator.
