Reports: Director of Educational Support Services
Duration: 10 months
Salary: Salary schedule is based upon the certified staff negotiated agreement

Definition:
The function of the School Psychologist is for the purposes of measuring and interpreting the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social and emotional development of children; interpreting results of psychological studies; providing direct/indirect services to students, staff, parents; interpreting and applying state and federal codes; and developing strategies and interventions to address the special education needs of eligible students as well as student who are deemed at-risk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Helps coordinate Response to Intervention (RTI) Tier III process for Specific Learning Disability eligibility and other special educations services. This includes directing Tier III progress monitoring meetings, collecting and examining relevant academic/social-emotional data and developing appropriate educational interventions
Participates in Tier II Problem-Solving teams for the purpose of identifying and implementing student/staff support for academic and social-emotional concerns
Counsels students, parents and guardians for the purpose of enhancing student success in school
Administers standardized and/or supplemental assessments for the purpose of measuring the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social and emotional development of children and/or determining eligibility for services in compliance with regulatory requirements 
Assesses students' functional capabilities and home and/or classroom environment for the purpose of measuring the intellectual adaptive, academic, social and emotional development of children and/or determining eligibility for services in compliance with regulatory requirements
Communicates with students and/or parents with teachers and/or other personnel for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems and/or resolving conflicts
Complies information from a variety of sources (e.g teachers, nurse, probation officer, mental health agencies, other professional, etc) for the purpose of producing a comprehensive evaluation report in compliance with established guidelines
Serves as the LEA Representative at Eligibility Meetings
Conducts Domain Meeting for three year Reevaluations
Works with counselors and social workers in completing FBA/BIPs
Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Salary/Benefits

Compensation: Full-time salary and benefits as per the collective bargaining agreement.
