Duties
Job Summary:
Substitute teachers are required to maintain discipline and classroom control that provides a safe and positive environment for all students. Lessons plans and/or instructions will be left by the primary teacher and MUST be followed. Students MUST be supervised at all times and respect for the teacher's personal property is essential. Duties include: teaching from a lesson plan, collecting required homework and maintaining a positive learning environment for all students.

Must be certified through SCISC4 and have a Substitute Teaching License or PEL Teaching License

Working Conditions:
Daily position when needed. No guarantee of number of days per school year.

Calumet City School District No. 155 has a new on-line application process and will NO LONGER accept mailed, e-mailed, hand delivered or faxed application materials.

Applications will be reviewed periodically or as needed according as open substitute position slots become available.
