  • Leads all aspects of student service related grant programming for the Regional Office of Education (ROE)
  • Responds to RFPs professionally, while meeting all requirements and deadlines
  • Accurately collects and reports data per grant requirements
  • Improves and updates skills by attending relevant professional development activities
  • Makes recommendations to the regional superintendent regarding all personnel matters affecting programs under the director’s supervision
  • Supervise and evaluate learning support staff
  • Schedules and coordinates regular staff meetings
  • Facilitates professional growth of learning support staff
  • Participates in community groups as appropriate
  • Coordinates and communicates with Illinois State Board of Education staff and other funders as needed
  • Identifies needs and opportunities to expand existing programs or develop new programs
  • Speaks well in front of groups, presenting ideas in a logical manner
  • Delegates authority to staff appropriate to the position each holds
  • Creates and monitors program budgets adhering to governmental accounting principles
  • Fiscally responsible while maintaining adequate internal controls
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
  • Provide friendly, quality customer service to all individuals that interact with the ROE
  • Represents the ROE with integrity
  • Promote the mission and vision of the ROE
  • Enhance the quality of work life within the ROE


Bachelor’s degree preferred

Previous experience with program management


Regionally competitive. Health, dental, and vision insurance available. IMRF eligible.
