  1. Conducts assessment/evaluation of student abilities and needs; attends and serves as a member of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) Team to determine eligibility of students for program; assists in the development of IEP instructional goals/objectives; assists in identifying other related services for the student; reassesses/evaluates student progress and submits reports in a timely manner to  coincide with IEP review meetings.
  1. Establishes instructional/learning environment for students to reinforce appropriate behavior and to provide academic instruction using a variety of instructional methods.
  1. Maintains cooperative working relationships with parents, member district staff, SASED staff and community service agencies.



Professional Educator License with Endorsement in Speech Language (teaching or non-teaching).  

A Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by ASHA is not required, but is preferred. The Speech Language Pathologist may work toward completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year while employed as a first year SLP for SASED.

A Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations is not required, but is preferred.


Per SASED-EA Contract.  Dependent on salary and experience.
