The job goal is to provide leadership necessary to assure an educational environment, which is safe, attractive, pleasant, and a productive place in which to work and learn. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting principals by providing services in monitoring student progress, attending staffings, and overseeing attendance; managing student discipline and assists principals with day-to-day building operations; supervises building/district events; leads organization and administration of special education programming within the district; assist in recruitment, selection and orientation of all new personnel; supervises and evaluates the effectiveness of the assigned staff through a formal review process; enforces student handbook and assign consequences for handbook infractions; coordinates substitute teachers; performs all other duties necessary to the position and such other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent.


Must currently hold valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a General Administrative Endorsement, master's degree in school administration.  Teaching experience in the building grade levels is preferred.


Salary determined by the Board of Education based on the applicant's experience and education.
