Duties
Teach Physical / Earth Science, Physics, and Chemistry, (possible sponsor/coaching positions available)
Qualifications
Illinois license/certification 9-12 to teach Physical / Earth Science, Physics, Integrated Science, and Chemistry. (Math also preferred, (NOT required)

Responsibilities
To provide instruction that focuses on the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of students
•
Supervises students under direct or indirect control
•
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times, designated
•
Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
•
Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and - in harmony with the goals - establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, etc and communicates these objectives to students
•
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved
•
Assesses the accomplishments of students regularly and provides progress reports as required
•
Communicates with parents regarding student progress as needed
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
•
Attends all meetings and maintains professionalism within the school.
