Provide assistance and support to students who display at-risk behaviors, including a deficit in social & emotional learning, and to reduce lost instructional time due to behavior related issues. Increase teacher capacity to implement positive classroom management and behavior modification techniques within the classroom. Act in a leadership role on the Behavioral Leadership Team with Assistant Principal and Student Assistance Coordinator. Coordinate instruction addressing the Illinois Social/Emotional Learning Standards. Deliver lessons to each classroom in a cooperative teaching style. Provide small group social skills interventions/instruction to qualifying students.



Five years of experience in education, social work, or mental health

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Educator License (PEL) for applicable grades

PEL Endorsement in Psychology or Social Work

Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation

Background in philosophy and practices of Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS)


180-day contract; salary and benefit package as established by the Board
