Duties
Teach Agriculture classes and serve as FFA sponsor. Courses for the 2022-2023 school year may included Introduction to AFNR, Basic Agriculture Science, Horticultural Production & Management, Agricultural Business, and Agricultural Engineering. See Additional Notes Below.
Qualifications
Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS).
Salary/Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a stipend for being the FFA advisor. Final salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The Board of Education pays full TRS, full single health insurance, and dental insurance/life insurance.
Additional Notes
Lincoln Community High School, located in Logan County in Section 14, is seeking a high school Agricultural Education Instructor to join their team. Lincoln’s FFA program has approximately 70 agricultural education students/FFA members and a co-FFA advisor to share FFA duties with. Facilities include classroom, agricultural mechanics lab, a 5-acre test plot, and greenhouse (new in 2021). The school is 1-1 with chromebooks and the agriculture department has a touch-screen promethean board, multiple RealityWorks simulators, and other technologies to utilize in learning. Exra-curricular activities are available in addition to FFA sponsor, but not required. This job will be posted until the position is filled.
