Duties
The teacher for the visually impaired must possess knowledge and licensure to teach students with low vision/blindness. Knowledge of the following is essential: UEB Literary Braille Nemeth Math Braille Screen Reading Programs Computer Magnification Programs AT for Magnification and Braille (Accessibility for Reading, Writing/Editing, and Embossing) Ability to adapt materials for students with low vision and blindness Experience with working with students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment and Multiple Impairments Understanding of Expanded Core Curriculum as it relates to Visual Impairment This position is an itinerant position, requiring travel. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transporation are needed.

Salary/Benefits
Salary range for 2019-20 will be $44,230 to $77,384 (including TRS) based on years of experience and education level. Comprehensive insurance plans available mostly employer paid.
