Duties
Maintains a student-centered approach to teaching and learning for students with disabilities. Experience with co-teaching, providing reading and math interventions, progress monitoring, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and parents. Provides responsive, rigorous and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successful. Participates in collaborative curriculum design. Creates a positive classroom environment. Exhibits flexibility, initiative and creativity. Possesses strong classroom management skills. Uses student learning data to adjust instruction, monitor student growth, and design IEP goals. Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Ensures that each student’s goals and objectives are addressed; maintains and updates special education records for accuracy and compliance. She/he will collaborate with administration, general education teachers and related service providers. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current Professional Educator License (LBS 1). Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Previous experience a plus but not required.
