Private therapeutic day school for children and adolescents (10­21) with SED, SLD, ADHD, and ASD is seeking a qualified and experienced special education instructor/transition specialist to plan, develop, and implement vocational and transition programs and services. Transition services include education, career exploration, pre­employment skills development, work experience training, job coaching and supervision, career and transition assessment, job placement, post­secondary planning, and college assessment and counseling. Responsibilities include direct instruction, student internship program management, student assessment, transition case management, service learning program, and coordination of DRS STEP services.


LBSI or licensure; Bachelors degree in vocational education, special education or a related field; 3 years experience with exceptional youth; strengths in organization, public relations, community networking, computer literacy,transition programming and post secondary planning.
