Duties
Under the supervision of the building Principal, the Special Education Teacher will design and manage curriculum and instruction in a classroom setting that is aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards and implemented in a manner that successfully integrates into the overall learning objectives and methodology of the school. More specifically, the teacher will be able to differentiate instruction for students with varied academic needs, while also managing IEPs associated with.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents, individually and in groups. Design and manage classroom curriculum that is both engaging and growth driven. Must hold a valid Illinois license to instruct special education in an elementary school setting, or be willing to obtain.
Salary/Benefits
Regionally competitive salary based on the district collective bargaining agreement.
